GroundedBodywork
If you are someone who experiences chronic or accute pain, is recovering from surgery, or just wants to improve the qualitiy of your active lifestyle, I can help you feel better and learn how to maintain your health goals. GroundedBodywork is designed to improve your body and mind's well-being, making measurable changes in the way you feel and move.

GroundedBodywork is my response to our active and stressful lifestyles. In my view, the key response to stress is learning how to build resources by addressing patterns that cause disfunction and discomfort. My approach includes assessing your body's movement and postural patterns, and then applying integrative massage techniques to release tight muscles and faciliate weak muscles in order to create whole body and mind balance.

In addition to bodywork on the table, we create a home activity plan to strengthen healthy patterns.

I love and consider the work I do my life's path.
I have extensive training and practice in advanced massage, bodywork, yoga and mediation.
My work is based in over 10 years in the healing arts, with over 1000 hours of training at Alive and Well, The Institute for Conscious Bodywork in Mill Valley, California.
Alive and Well foster conscious bodywork, an approach to therapeutic massage that incorporates the body and mind connection.
In addition to release techniques, such as deep tissue and myofacial, I have advanced training in (NMR) Neuro-muscular Reprogramming with Joceyln Olivier.
The focus of GroundedBodywork is to help clients relax, encouraging the nervous system to be more receptive to soft tissue and structural work.
Once relaxed, we address specific issues, chronic or acute.
Offering therapeutic Bodywork which has a more in depth and specific approach to your bodies needs than regular massage found at spas, resorts, and facilities of this type.
The way I work is described as deep, slow, and engaged which allows the nervous system to truly settle and heal.
We incorporate assessing your body's structural issues and imbalances.
One of the best benefits of a deep tissue massage is the increased blood flow it causes.
Because massage therapists are applying so much direct pressure on the muscles, this increases the blood circulation throughout your body.
As a result, increased blood flow boosts the oxygen supply to all of the tissues in your body.
With more oxygen circulating in the blood, toxins such as lactic acid are removed from your muscles at a higher rate.
A professional athlete can especially benefit from a deep tissue massage since the speedy removal of toxins can help speed up the healing process for distressed muscles.
Most people find reflexology, for the most part, to be very relaxing.
If you feel discomfort, be sure to tell me so we can work within your comfort level.
He or she should work within your comfort zone.
Some areas may be tender or sore, and the reflexologist may spend extra time on these points.
The soreness should decrease with pressure.
If you're ticklish, not to worry.
The reflexologist applies firm pressure to the feet.
Why do people get reflexology?
Reflexology sessions are 60 minutes long and begin with a consultation about your health and lifestyle.
