About Me
Report
I graduated from Finger Lakes School of Massage in 2000 and have been practicing professionally since 2001.
After graduating from FLSM, I continued studying with various Shiatsu teachers and schools mostly in Japan as well as in UK and USA.
I completed the certification program at Iokai in Tokyo (Zen Shiatsu founder, Master Masunaga's school) in 2003, and have received a specialized training in pelvic alignment at BCT School in Tokyo.
I have a private practice in downtown Ithaca, and enjoy teaching Shiatsu at Finger Lakes School of Massage and offering continuing education classes at my studio as well.

My Services
Report
Shiatsu is a Japanese form of massage based on Anma Massage and Traditional Chinese Medicine.
The word Shiatsu comes from two Japanese words - "shi" (finger) and "atsu" (pressure), however, we use our hands, forearms, elbows, and sometimes knees and feet to give deep, penetrating yet comfortable pressure.
In addition to the direct stimulation of pressure points (Tsubos) along the energy channels (Meridians) of your body, gentle stretching and range of motion techniques are applied to open the energy channels, and encourage the flow of Ki (energy) throughout the body.
