When you add gentle-touch massage to the care you provide for your patient, you change their life, as well as your own. The path for touch looks different for all of us. Some of us are comfortable providing this basic need to those who are ill, some of us need more direction, more information, more facts. Some of us feel led to provide gentle-touch massage, but an unsupportive person or inner critic tells us differently.

Progressive Massage Therapy was created and is led by Susan Gee. Opening in 2008, PMT offers on-line courses, local one-on-one massage services and support for anyone wanting to provide gentle-touch massage modalities for others. Touch can be a vessel, carrying unspoken words and emotions. Touch can help us communicate with others in a loving, compassionate way - sometimes no words needed.

My digital courses help caregivers, massage therapists and other professionals expand the care they provide by using gentle-touch massage. This knowledge allows them to move past the fear of touching their patients with advanced illness while feeling supported, confident and calm.

I believe EVERYONE who wants to receive massage CAN when appropriate adjustments are made.
I believe my role as a massage therapist is to provide comfort and rest to those who are hurting - emotionally and/or physically due to illness, recent surgery or the stresses of everyday life.
I believe my role as an instructor is to teach others how to provide this amazing modality for their circle of people who are hurting emotionally and physically due to advanced illness.
Susan is a transplant from Dallas to Hot Springs Village.
She loves her work and truly considers it her ministry.
It's extremely rewarding to see with your eyes and feel with your hands, someone rest and relax who was physically hurting when they walked in your office.
Cancer and other chronic illness can wear you down physically and emotionally.
Massage can make a big difference allowing you to rest and heal.
The key is finding a therapist who has special training and can make the necessary adjustments.
I see clients in Bryant one day per week for those who want to travel and receive massage in a studio setting with regular massage table, etc.
For those not able to travel, I will come to you - whether in home, care facility or hospital.
I no longer travel with a massage table because I have perfected the method of providing massage wherever the patient is - hospital bed, recliner, wheelchair, etc.
We should all live fully and intentionally until we die.
