Marlene graduated from the Austin Schools of Massage in 2008.
She obtained her instructor license in the state of Texas which led to teaching massage at New Beginnings School of Massage in Killeen for 3 years.
She also had the opportunity to work with Comfort for America's Uniformed Services (CAUSE) providing therapeutic massage to ease combat stress to wounded soldiers diagnosed with injuries or post-traumatic stress (PTS).
She is trained in Swedish massage, deep tissue massage, pre-natal massage, hot stone massage, hot bamboo massage, Lomi-Lomi (Hawaiian massage), myofascial massage, trigger-point therapy, myoskeletal alignment, and cranio-sacral techniques.
Designed to remove severe tension, deep tissue massage is a technique used to relieve both muscles and connective tissue below the surface.
It helps to improve range of motion and heal injuries below the surface.
Swedish massage uses firm but gentle pressure to promote relaxation and ease muscle tension.
It is a classic massage (using massage oil or cream) that will ease your stress and allow you to slip into a calm state of relaxation.
Medical massage incorporates many advanced and targeted techniques to address muscle and skeletal issues diagnosed by a doctor.
