Align Massage & Yoga
All massage services are done by me, Lydia Andersen. I specialize in helping manage or relieve pain occurring in the neck, shoulders, back, arms, and hands. Based on Ayurvedic medicine and Yoga, Thai massage incorporates a combination of acupressure, energy meridian work, and yoga-like stretching. This type of massage is different in that the recipient remains fully clothed and takes place on a thick floor-mat.

It is complimentary to exercise routines, event-training, and physical therapy. Massage is the manual manipulation of muscle tissue. This massage takes place on a cushioned massage table, the recipient usually disrobes down to their underwear and is covered by a sheet and a blanket. Using oil or lotion, the massage practitioner works through areas previously discussed for a goal of relaxation and/or helping sore muscle(s) feel better.

What I enjoy about teaching is helping people individually.
No body is the same, so no yoga pose will look the same.
You don't have to have a "perfect" pose to achieve the effects that yoga can bring.
To me, it's all about creating awareness in your Self.
Learning where your strengths and weaknesses are, working to improve them, and recognizing those improvements when they come.
It isn't always a fast process, but the reward is always worth your time and effort.
We take it a little easier in this gentle class, utilized props such as chairs to make it easier for those of us who have a harder time getting up and down off the floor or for those of us who have a harder time keeping up in the more advanced classes.
This class is slightly more advanced and whole body focused - building strength and increasing flexibility.
