Jill Sarmento Therapeutic Massage
Hi, I'm Jill, a RI licensed massage therapist. I began my career as an LMT in 2003, graduating from the Bancroft School of Massage Therapy in Worcester, MA. As with most things, time and experience have changed a lot about the way I approach massage therapy.

I've learned that more is not always better, that I prefer not to work with my clients to the point of pain, and that my treatments should be less about forcefully manipulating soft tissue (muscles, fascia) and more about providing novel stimulation to the nervous system to promote change. My goal is to provide results oriented therapeutic massage that is both deeply healing and profoundly relaxing.

Another thing I do is hand make award winning botanical body care products and natural perfumes for Curious Nature Apothecary, LLC, a business I co-founded with my best friend in 2014. Visit curiousnatureapothecary.com for more information.
Services
I think we can all agree that people are different, and the way each of us feels from day to day changes.
I always take this into account, and tailor your massage session to you.
Unless you specifically ask for the same style/type/sequence of techniques to be used each time you see me, you'll probably find that each massage you receive will be a little different from the last.
I'll draw on my training and experience to choose techniques that I believe will be effective and appropriate, and I'll count on you to provide honest feedback about what feels most helpful.
For others: For now, I'm suspending online gift certificate sales.
If you are looking to purchase a gift certificate for an existing client, please contact me directly via phone or email.
For me: Despite the additional costs of doing business, I am going to try my best to not increase my service rates at this time.
I understand that many people have felt negative impacts to their financial situations, and I just don't feel good about raising prices when many are struggling.
However, if you're in a position to help, and would like to, contributions help defray the cost of products relating to additional cleaning, laundry, and disinfecting; safe storage solutions; software to streamline appointments; personal protective equipment; increased utility costs (so I can provide comfortable office temperatures and proper ventilation); increased time spent per client; and more.
