MassageNet is a practice based research network that uses data gathered from therapists and clients in real world settings to answer important research questions. We encourage massage therapists, students, educators and anyone involved in massage research to become a member! With your membership you will have opportunities to participate in studies, and means of communication with colleagues interested in massage research.

MassageNet is offered at no cost to those who choose to join. We hope you will choose to join our network and become a member of the MassageNet collaborative family.
Services
MassageNet was established in 2009 with funding assistance from the Massage Therapy Foundation and support from the National University of Health Sciences in Lombard, Illinois.
MassageNet was spearheaded and managed by Jerrilyn Cambron, PhD and Jennifer Dexheimer, LMT.
In 2020, the Foundation board of trustees expressed renewed interest in the network and has begun strategic planning for a re-launch.
Our mission is to develop and maintain communication between professional massage therapists, students, educators, and researchers.
MassageNet has four categories of membership status: massage therapists, massage therapy students, massage therapy educators or administrators, and researchers.
Some people may fit into more than one.
The purpose of this network is to collect information on massage practices, and to share that information with other health care providers and clients.
Be included in a core group of progressive massage professionals who collaborate to complete research studies.
As a member of MassageNet, you are not required to participate in all research studies.
