Massage is used to reduce muscle pain, tension, and stress. Many people gain relief from chronic pain, headaches, and overworked muscles through massage. Massage can be helpful after surgeries and injuries to increase range of motion and promote healing of tissue by increasing circulation to the area. Massage can strengthen the immune system, improve sleep, and increase relaxation.

Massage has been used to help treat digestion issues, breathing problems, carpal tunnel syndrome, sciatica, TMJD, fibromyalgia, anxiety, and repetitive use injuries. You may feel sore after a massage, especially if you have never had one or have them infrequently. Topical pain relief, such as Biofreeze, Icy Hot, or China Gel may be used, as well as ice if there is any inflammation or heat to relax muscles and increase circulation.

Drinking plenty of water after a massage is important. It will help flush out toxins and rehydrate you.
Services
My name is Carly Bjornstad and I've been a licensed massage therapist since 2015.
I love doing therapeutic work to help people feel their best.
In addition to basic massage, I can use a variety of techniques, including stretching, muscle release technique as taught by Michael Young, SMRT, cranio sacral therapy, and reiki.
I also can incorporate hot stones, heated bamboo, muscle scraping, and cupping into a massage session.
Stones have an additional charge and need to be requested when booking as they take a while to heat up.
