I've been a professional massage therapist and yoga teacher since 2006. I am passionate about continuing my education and continuing to build my skills and add to my tool chest so I can be of greater service to my clients. I first graduated from Cypress Health Institute here in Santa Cruz with a certification in Integrative Massage. Since then I've taken Common Injury 1, 2, & 3, Deep Tissue 1 & 2, and Relationships of Anatomy at Midline School of Massage, as well as Craniosacral Therapy 1 at the Upledger Institute.

I have a Sports Injury Specialist certification through NESTA, and have also earned certifications in Lymphedema Massage from KLOSE Training and Oncology Massage from Greet the Day. I am trained in myofascial release, injury massage, sports specific massage, aromatherapy, massage for post-surgery rehab, and prenatal massage. As for yoga: I first earned a teaching certification from Forrest Yoga and have since received additional training and certifications from Baron Baptiste.
Services
Are you looking for stress-reduction?
Pain relief?
Or just a nourishing deep-tissue massage?
With many years of experience and training under my belt I can address specific areas of tension or injury, promoting a deep release of knots and tight muscles.
I use organic, hypo-allergenic non-greasy massage cream and essential oils.
I can perform sports specific massage for cyclists, runners, surfers, climbers, tri-athletes, you name it.
I have training in sports injury massage to treat issues such as rotator cuff issues, TMJ pain, tennis/golfer elbow, plantar fasciitis, frozen shoulder, muscle strain/sprain, scar tissue restrictions, and post-surgery massage for rehab.
Also massage for repetitive stress injury such as: carpal tunnel syndrome, nerve pain/tingling/numbness, stress headaches, and sciatica.
In my tool box I use deep tissue, myofascial release, Trigger Point Therapy, and Gua Sha (a tool which is scraped against the skin to break up scar tissue and adhesions through the layers of skin and muscle).
I am a Certified Lymphedema Therapist and am trained to assist you in maintaining reduction of limb volume and pain associated with Lymphedema.
Manual Lymph Drainage (MLD) also aids in the prevention of infections such as cellulitis.
Lymphatic massage helps reduce post surgical swelling and can speed the healing of bruises and scarring from surgery.
It also enhances the removal of toxins and fat from body tissues and supports the immune system.
