At Summit Chiropractic & Massage we want each patient to be well adjusted and enjoying life! We promote active lifestyles, healthy eating, and a focus on wellness through a preventive approach to healthcare. We treat patients who come in because of pain, those who have a specific condition they've not been able to find relief for elsewhere, and those who are here for general wellness.

Whatever your health goal, Dr. Garry Pow's experience and gentle holistic approach can help. Throughout your care, we'll assess your progress and talk about how you're doing in meeting your health goals. Dr. Pow may recommend dietary and exercise solutions to assist in your recovery and lifelong wellness. We also offer Massage Therapy to compliment your chiropractic care.

At the end of the day, our goal is to help you see improvement in your health through simple lifestyle changes and a mindset of prevention. We commit to serve you in a friendly, warm and welcoming capacity and hope that you will choose to make Summit Chiropractic & Massage your home for chiropractic care and massage.
Services
Dr. Pow has been practicing in Vancouver since 1996, and moved to the new office where Summit Chiropractic & Massage now resides in 2010.
Massage therapy has always been a part of Dr. Pow's practice model.
An older chiropractor told him when he was just starting out that the best results come from treating the muscles and joints together.
Dr. Pow followed that advice, and has found that chiropractic care and massage therapy truly are complimentary.
Most of our patients come from within about 3-5 miles of Ogden, where we're located.
I've been working at Summit Chiropractic and Massage since March of 2016.
I studied massage therapy at Sensory Development Institute at the Green Valley Spa in Utah, and graduated with my national's certification in June of 2004.
After graduating, I moved to Alaska where I spent 9 years working in a chiropractic clinic as well as several years in a spa setting.
Although I gravitated earlier in my career to focus more on the medical aspects of working in a Chiropractic setting, my experience in both areas has helped me create a unique blend of deep tissue therapeutic massage.
In order to quickly relieve pain, Dr. Pow uses a variety of highly effective adjusting approaches which improve spinal biomechanics and reduce nervous system interference.
The approach we take with each individual patient is based on our judgment and experience, and the needs of that patient.
Diversified - After identifying which vertebrae have lost their normal motion or position, a specific manual thrust is applied to free up "stuck" spinal joints.
ArthroStim - This hand-held instrument applies a series of highly controlled "taps" to misaligned vertebral segments, avoiding the twisting, turning or "cracking" of spinal joints.
At Summit Chiropractic & Massage, we've discovered that our patients get better chiropractic results when they also get massage therapy from our licensed therapists.
If your muscles are injured, or you are in pain, one thing that may be holding your recovery back is the condition of your muscles.
If your muscles are continually pulling your joints out of place, it slows your recovery.
When you couple chiropractic care and massage therapy, you're addressing both the joints and the muscles of your body for more thorough healing.
You can expect your first visit to last about 20 minutes, and that you'll need to fill out some initial paperwork.
If you're here to address pain or correct an issue will be assessed and adjusted on the first day, so they can find relief.
And if you're here for wellness care we'll go through a full battery of assessments and ask you to come back for a report of findings so that we can best address their holistic needs.
These follow up visits take around 20 minutes as well.
