Charles Dane Massage Therapy is conveniently located at 37 W. Fairmont Avenue Suite 320 in Savannah, GA. His practice has been providing a variety of massage services for 22 years. Therapeutic massage manipulates the muscles and soft tissues of the body with pressure and motion for the therapeutic purpose of physical and psychological relaxation, improvement of circulation, relief of sore muscles, and other health benefits.

Charles will evaluate your individual needs and goals for massage therapy, develop a personalized plan for you and provide you with simple techniques to keep your muscles relaxed. When I massage, my goal is to talk to the muscles, to make more supple the underlying soft tissue. It is important to set a climate where old habits move aside and new, healthier ones take hold.

To me, it is wonderful to work around knotty discomfort, to apply direct pressure to an area that is initially painful, but soon dissolves into supple muscle. Shoulder girdles fall into place, vertebrae realign, and the hot spot a moment ago becomes pleasant to the touch.

I am a member of the American Massage Therapy Association.
I received my training at the Swedish Institute of Massage and interned at the P.H. Ling Clinic in New York City.
I have extensive training in anatomy, physiology, Swedish massage, medical massage, acupressure and pathology.
I believe in continuously learning new methods of massage and incorporating them into my work in order to provide the highest level of treatment for my clients.
Although our newsletters typically focus on children, we wanted to take a moment to focus on well-being for not only our adult clients but also the parents of our kiddo clients.
Swedish Massage uses a system of long strokes, kneading, and friction percussive and vibration techniques on the more superficial layers of muscles, combined with active and passive movements of the joints.
It is used primarily for full-body sessions and promotes general relaxation, improves blood circulation and range of motion, and relieves muscle tension.
Swedish is the most common type of massage.
Deep Tissue releases the chronic patterns of tension in the body through slow strokes and deep finger pressure on the contracted areas, either following or going across the grain of muscles, tendons and fascia.
