At Harmony Massage, we recognize the human spirit as real. We understand the importance of the mind, body, spirit connection and view optimal health as the balance and integration of all three. With health and wholeness come feelings of inner strength and joy and a resilience that enables us to meet the demands of daily life. Some clients come for massage to ease physical pain, some to manage emotional stress and some to nurture themselves through a difficult life-changing event.

Whatever the reason, our goal at Harmony is to assist you with your own healing process, to restore balance and functionality and provide feelings of peace, safety and wholeness.

Talicia grew up in San Jose, California, and received her undergraduate degree in Biology from Reed College in Portland, Oregon.
With a long history of work in social services, education, and the environment, Talicia was intrigued by the challenge of running Outside In's free medical clinic in Portland.
With this experience Talicia organized the free clinic open to homeless, low income, and under-insured people in the Portland metropolitan area.
It also gave her her first glimpse into the world of complementary and alternative health care, as Outside In specialized in the complementary care of medical doctors, naturopathic doctors, acupuncturists, chiropractors, and massage therapists.
There are many different types of therapeutic massage.
Each massage modality has its own focus and benefit.
One of the assets of massage is that all modalities can be mixed and merged into a single, customized session.
It isn't always necessary for you to decide beforehand, which type of massage is appropriate for you.
Most often your massage therapist will use a number of different techniques within a single session.
Before each treatment, you and your therapist will discuss areas of discomfort and focus and determine the best course of treatment.
At Harmony Massage, we offer a sliding scale to meet the financial needs of our clients with various income levels.
Insurance billing is also available.
Harmony Massage practices karma yoga, and offers 1 to 2 massage sessions per week for free or low cost to clients who could not afford massage otherwise.
Talicia Brown is a Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT # 8193) in the State of Oregon and Nationally Certified in Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCTMB).
Also, Talicia is an active member of the Amercian Massage Council, and holds liability insurance through AMC.
Both the OBMT, NCTMB, and AMC have the highest standards in ethics and professionalism.
In addition, Harmony Massage is a Contracted Provider with ODS, PacificSource, and BlueCross/Blue Shield of Oregon medical insurance companies.
During your massage, you will be comfortably and fully covered, other than the area of focus.
