Services
My formal education in Massage Therapy began at The Northern Arizona Massage Therapy Institute in Sedona, AZ.
I continue to study the human body and its function so that I may bring health, wellness and healing to my patients.
Over the past 22 years, I have earned certifications in multiple modalities that represent a wide spectrum of Western Medical and Orthopedic-based therapies that include: Deep Tissue, Myo-fascial Release, NeuroMuscular and Sports/Orthopedics and Relaxation Therapies that include Swedish, Hot Stones and Reiki.
Swedish: A relaxing full-body treatment at your pressure preference, from light to deep, to melt away stress.
Hot/Cold Stones: Used to enhance relaxation and can be combined with Swedish Massage for an even greater therapeutic experience.
Deep Tissue: Heavier pressure/compression and a slow glide work deep into the muscles and connective tissue.
Myofascial Release: Lengthening of connective tissue (the fascial web) used with deep tissue to release constriction.
Muscle Energy Technique: A direct and active technique that engages restricted muscles through contractions against pressure.
Myofascial Integration is a powerful massage modality that creates postural change in your body.
It increases range of motion and alleviates painful conditions affiliated with daily living and external stress.
While it is not the only solution in relieving pain, it is an integral piece of the puzzle when making a healthy life change.
In addition to immediate relief, myofacial massage can provide long lasting results by loosening the layers of tight tissue deep below the skin.
The effect will enable you to do more activities with less pain.
Thirty-two percent of Americans get massages for medical and health reasons, according to the 13th annual consumer survey sponsored by the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA), compared to 31 percent last year.
Twenty-five percent of Americans ages 35-44 have talked to their doctor or healthcare provider about massage therapy this year, compared to 14 percent in 2008.
Seeking a massage for medical or health reasons is now tied with relaxation and stress reduction as the top reasons why Americans get massages.
