Union Center For Healing
Bastyr Graduates and good friends, Roxane Geller MS EAMP LMT and Vickie Summerquist MS EAMP LMT MPH, founded Union Wellness in 2007 to provide comprehensive holistic care to their community. They each bring 20 years of experience in the field. Together, with the other practitioners of Union Wellness, they provide acupuncture, wellness planning, herbal medicine, massage and other therapies that are tailored to the needs and story of each individual who comes to the center.

The founders and practitioners acknowledge that the land in which the clinic sits is originally indigenous land, the territory of the Coast Salish people, specifically the Duwamish. They are grateful to be able to serve the community in this space. Our cozy neighborhood clinic is on several buslines and has street parking available. Make an appointment to visit us soon or come by during one of our classes/community events.

Guided Journeys are a way to access and develop your intuition, relieve stress and get insight on longstanding emotional/physical patterns.

The clinic offers a compassionate and inclusive space to receive treatment and care.
There are 3 options.
The first is via Capitol Hill North.
Lots of streets but bypasses downtown traffic.
Second is going through downtown; if there is not a lot of traffic it is not a bad route, but not our favorite.
Third is by way of 520.
If you are not coming during rush hour, this is the quickest option.
Exit at Roanoke & turn left at the light.
First right after the overpass onto 10th Ave E (at the fire station).
Turn left onto Boston.
Boston winds around and turns into 15th.
Pass my old office and turn left on to Thomas St. Then right onto 19th, left on to Union Street.
Chinese medicine has been used for thousands of years to achieve balance and health.
It is based on the theory of "qi" or life energy.
This energy is the force behind a flower opening up to the sun or muscles lifting a heavy stone.
Health and wellness is created by balanced and abundant qi flow in the body.
Interrupted qi flow compromises the body and results in illness.
Symptoms of imbalance can manifest in many ways.
Chinese Medicine is individualized medicine that treats the root of your imbalance to alleviate symptoms.
The massage therapists at Union Wellness use a variety of specialized manual therapies in their practices.
These include deep tissue massage, neuromuscular therapy, myofascial work, injury treatment, pregnancy massage, structural work, cranial sacral, Reiki, and relaxation massage.
Massage has been shown to alleviate pain, muscle cramps and spasms, decrease inflammation, help prepare for and recover from athletic events, increase range of motion, improve joint flexibility, and promote relaxation both physically and mentally.
Expert advice and Chinese medicine diagnosis from one of our founders to improve wellness and address chronic conditions such as weight management, anxiety, depression, autoimmune disorders and others.
In a wellness consultation, we will talk through your areas of concern and determine a plan.
An appointment includes dietary and herbal therapy recommendations as well as lifestyle coaching and support.
