Massages by Malia enhances your spa experience by providing solutions to your medical and everyday needs through a variety of healing massages. Couples appointments available pre booked one month in advance directly with therapist through phone or email only. Couples massages are done with another therapist (Parker Brownlee L.M.T.) who comes in just for couples treatments.

Intro to the Therapist: My name is Malia Hansen.
I am an Independent Contractor and the owner of Malia Hansen Massage Therapy.
I've been a certified Massage Therapist since March of 2014.
My focus in massage is to use a combination of pain management, Recovery/Sports Therapy, and Therapeutic/Swedish massage to heal the body where it's at.
Natural preventative health care and stress reduction are a few of the things I love to work on and help provide with each client.
You will begin with filling out required paperwork so I can get a detailed plan worked out for you specifically.
I will show you around the office and explain or answer any questions you might have.
Music and muted lighting add to the peaceful feeling.
I will leave the room while you undress to your comfort level and cover yourself with the sheet and/or blanket.
You will receive a focused, individualized massage for 30 min, 60 min, or 90 minutes.
You will remain comfortably draped at all times while I stretch, move, and massage the muscles.
Over half our body is made up of water.
Drinking water helps to flush out toxins released from the muscles and re-hydrates your muscles.
This will reduce muscle aches and pains after a massage.
A glass or two of water can also help to center your body/mind since a massage treatment can sometimes leave us feeling a bit spacey.
This is very important especially with a Deep Tissue Massage.
The muscle fibers in our bodies need to realign and be flushed of the toxins released from the muscle after a massage.
Expect proper draping and a therapist who will listen and perform a massage treatment following your guidelines.
You are the one in charge - you can choose how your session unfolds.
If you are looking for general relaxation and stress relief, the therapeautic massage or hot stone massage is a fantastic option.
If you prefer heavy deep pressure and relief from injuries, especially sport-related, the sports massage or the barefoot bar massage are the best choices for you.
I do need to know which massage you wish to schedule at the time of booking as I may need to take time to specially prepare each service, including products and equipment prior to your arrival.
Start with a basic therapeutic massage and let your therapist know what upgrades you would like to add to your massage.
This allows for the most personalized massage treatment.
Massage helps relieve many of the discomforts that occur during pregnancy.
These may include but not be limited too backaches, leg cramps, headaches, depression, sleep troubles, edema/swelling, and stiff neck or joints.
During your session soft supportive cushions are used to help alleviate any stress on the pelvic areas and lower back while being massaged.
